L/O: Explain how music magazines target a specific audience. Use the MOJO cover as an example
Broadsheets from the 1960s were very male dominated and there weren't many articles just about women. If women were on the front page it would normally be for advertisement for underwear or lingerie which shows that society implied they had to look good for there husbands/future husbands. On the front page of the observer from a broadsheet which was released on the 20th October 1968 there is an article about a man who is white marrying a women who is black. Inter racial marriage was very un-common in the 60s so it became front page news as no one would ever hear of this. Stephen Pollock and Elizabeth were one of the first interracial couples and started the construction of equal rights for black people and other minorities.
